THE SHOE SONG, they were onto something…
A band that no-one knows with a song that everyone does, says “…I felt like something was missing in my day to day life, so I quickly opened the wardrobe, I put on a t-shirt and jeans that seemed clean, topped it off with a pair of old shoes that were ripped around the seams and I thought that these shoes just don’t suit me…”
“I put some new shoes on and suddenly everything’s right.”
With our Asics on everything just seems right.
WELL, LET’S TIE THIS TOGETHER FOR YOU.
It started with an e-mail.
YOU HAVE MAIL.
Hi everyone, Friday the 3rd of March is SHOESDAY! Everyone will be receiving a brand-new pair of trainers. Please make sure you are at the office!
A SICK DAY ON SHOESDAY…
You must be mad, who could ever be that dumb…
The whole army was out in full force!
WHY NEW SHOES, BOSSES?
Because we actually like our staff and wanted to gift everyone. Because we are different and want to stand out from all other places – Asics are known for their weird and extraordinary patterns and colours, the very people working at Retro Rabbit are weird and extraordinarily unique, making Asics shoes the right fit for the rabbits.
We’re also celebrating our mad growth from 25 something people to almost 100!
THE STEREOTYPE OF THE FEMALE BRAIN and shoes.
Cinderella and her rather important slipper, Dorothy with her magic shoes which allowed her to travel through time and space, back to her family’s farm by clicking her heels together three times. Even the Greek God Hermes with his winged sandals, which apparently “flew him as swift as any bird”.
It is said that they complete any outfit… shoes maketh the woman, they make you feel beautiful, powerful, courageous even comfortable and safe.
THE STEREOTYPE OF THE MALE BRAIN and shoes.
If we box men in a big way we would find that shoes only really serve a functional purpose. “Well shoes protect our feet from dirt and damage, new shoes give you a feeling of cleanliness and protection.” Or “I enjoy a new pair of shoes as they are fresh and clean and keep our feet from getting cold and dirty.”
BREAKING THE OLD STEREOTYPE – AN EXPRESSION OF US
The above stereotypes, we don’t fit them.
Each rabbit is individual and unique. Each of us wears our shoes differently, each telling our own unique story.
